Job summary

Center for Positive Changes (CFPC) seeks a Licensed Therapist to join our clinical team in San Diego. The role focuses on Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) for youth in STRTP, with supervision and collaboration across disciplines.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual/family/group therapy, coordinate care, and support discharge planning, emphasizing trauma-informed, strength-based approaches within a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
• Licensed as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• At least one year of experience in residential treatment or outpatient mental health with youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to youth in STRTP using trauma-informed approaches.
• Complete initial and ongoing clinical assessments and DSM-based decisions.
• Develop and update individualized treatment and safety plans.
• Offer individual, family, and group therapy and psychoeducation.
• Coordinate care with youth, families, staff, and community resources.
• Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and treatment team meetings.
• Support discharge planning to lower levels of care and maintain treatment progress.
