Job summary

The San Diego Center for Children seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide residential youth and family therapy, case management, and discharge planning for youth in our programs.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, develop and monitor treatment plans, and collaborate with schools and external partners to support progress toward goals. Strong writing skills and licensure adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have current California license or pre-license number issued by the State of California for ASW/LCSW, AMF, MFT/MFC, Psych Assistant, PhD or PsyD; LPCC/APCC may be considered with additional educational requirements.
• Valid California Driver’s License (CDL).
• Master’s Degree from an Accredited University.
• Experience working with youth and caregivers.
• Must be able to demonstrate skill in writing clinical notes, assessments, and clinical formulation; documentation and clinical formulation writing skills will be tested.

Responsibilities

• Provide residential youth and family therapy in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation per SDCC protocols.
• Formulate, monitor, and revise treatment plans based on assessments and input from youth, family, and team.
• Participate in staff meetings, CFTs, Treatment Teams, and IEP meetings; coordinate care with schools and external partners.
