Job summary

Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, Inc. seeks a Therapeutic Youth Mentor to support youth in building resilience, life skills, and healthy coping strategies.

You will serve as a positive role model within a multidisciplinary team and help youths reach treatment goals through individualized, compassionate care. Responsibilities include facilitating skill-building activities, documenting in the EHR, collaborating with therapists and families, and participating in supervision and training while

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance as required by Montana.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driver's license to operate a passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships with youth.
• Serve as a positive role model with healthy boundaries and coping strategies.
• Support youth in achieving treatment plan goals as outlined by therapists.
• Facilitate skill-building activities in communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
• Accompany youth in community settings to promote socialization and independence.
• Provide crisis support and de-escalation per YBGR protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR per agency standards.
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, families, and partners for coordinated care.
• Contribute to PQI initiatives and organizational goals.
• Model YBGR's values and professional standards.
• Adhere to policies, safety procedures, and compliance.
• Identify challenges and seek effective solutions.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and ongoing training.
• Be mindful of cultural and socioeconomic contexts of youth and families.
