Job summary

Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking Therapeutic Mentors to work with youth ages 5-17 in one-on-one and group settings.

Mentors coordinate with each client’s treatment team to help achieve treatment goals, with a supportive team environment and growth opportunities in mental health and social work. Part-Time to Full-Time positions, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) with employer match, and travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or completion of thirty hours toward a bachelor’s in a health-related field
• CPR/First Aid certification required and maintained
• Experience in supervised mental health setting preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic activities and promote healthy social interactions and coping skills.
• Coordinate with treatment team and linkages to community resources for clients.
• Transport clients to clinics and community events.
• Maintain contact with clients, families and treatment teams.
• Collaborate with site directors, supervisors and prescribers for continuum of care.
• Assess needs and develop treatment goals per individual treatment plans.
• Maintain an active caseload and meet with clients weekly.
• Attend weekly supervision with site director.
• Respond to communications within 24 hours or next business day.
• Comply with CARF/COMAR/HIPAA/state regulations and 48-hour documentation standards.
• Keep informed on management memos and notices.
• Other duties as assigned.
