Job summary

Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking Bilingual Therapeutic Mentors to work with youth ages 5-17 in one-on-one and group settings.

Mentors coordinate with each client’s treatment team to help achieve treatment goals and provide exposure to mental health and social work in a supportive environment. This part-time to full-time role offers flexible hours and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, a 401(k) with employer match, and travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or mental health-related field, or proof of completion of thirty (30) hours toward a Bachelor’s Degree, or one year of supervised mental health experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Prior experience with troubled youth preferred.
• Experience with an Electronic Medical Records system (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic activities to encourage healthy social interactions and age-appropriate self-care skills.
• Coach and support linkages to community resources to help clients reach goals.
• Transport clients to/from clinics and events.
• Maintain contact with client, family, and treatment team.
• Collaborate with GMY Directors, Site Directors, Clinical Supervisors, and Prescribers to ensure care continuity.
• Assess client needs and develop goals in individual treatment plans.
• Maintain an active caseload of at least 20 clients with weekly meetings.
• Attend weekly supervision with GMY site Director.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Respond to communications from clients, families, referral sources, and ABH staff within 24 hours.
• Comply with regulations and maintain 48-hour documentation.
• Stay informed on memos and notices from management.
• Other duties as assigned.
