Job summary

Kids Kottage in Reno, NV is seeking a Youth Technician to provide safe, nurturing care for children ages 0–18 in our emergency shelter. The role focuses on comfort, structure, creativity, and positive guidance, with hands-on support across daily needs and developmental activities.

You will partner with staff to run activities, assist with meals, hygiene, homework, and routines, and help maintain a clean, organized environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of college or equivalent education and experience with children.
• Able to obtain Washoe County certification requirements.
• Reliable, patient and flexible with daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide care including feeding, bathing, diapering and dressing.
• Assist with activities, homework, and healthy routines.
• Keep clothing, linens and spaces clean and organized.
• Provide routine or emergency transportation when needed.
