Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking compassionate DSPs to support individuals with developmental disabilities in facilities and homes. This part-time role offers flexible schedules, paid training including CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration, and opportunities for advancement.

Ideal candidates have youth experience and are comfortable with clients who may exhibit high behaviors. A high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and a valid OH driver’s license are required.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes.

We are looking for:

• Individuals who have experience working with youth, and comfortable with working alongside clients with possible high behaviors.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid OH driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
