Salary ranges from $17.23 to $21.58 per hour for 25 hours per week with evening shifts Wednesday through Sunday. Requires a High School Diploma/GED with two years of college preferred and background checks clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Two years of college preferred.
• Experience in a social service setting preferred.
• Ability to accept supervision and work with a team of co-workers.
• Ability to work with youth from diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality.
• Must pass background checks and complete Safe From Harm training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive work atmosphere by fostering professional relationships among staff and clients, and support mission of Salvation Army.
• General Youth Care: greet youth, develop positive relationships, orient new youth to program rules, help youth achieve self-identified goals, and connect them with community resources.
• Reporting and Documentation: maintain accurate logs and complete incident reports and statistics.
• General Administration: attend meetings, answer phones, and perform duties as needed.
• Program Safety: de-escalate conflicts, ensure policy compliance, monitor building and supervise housing activities.
