Job summary

Abbott House is seeking a Job Coach to support up to 15 youth aged 14–26, guiding them through academic and career planning, transitions from foster care, and independent living skills. The role emphasizes building trusting relationships and ongoing social/emotional support to help students graduate and pursue further education.

The position reports to the Coach Supervisor and involves collaboration with case planners, tutors, and caregivers to ensure successful outcomes for the youth served.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience working with at-risk or system-involved young people.

Responsibilities

• Report to Coach Supervisor
• Build relationships with up to 15 young people
• Provide ongoing social/emotional support
• Develop individualized academic and career development goals based on their interests and strengths
• Connect young people to quality schools, programs, resources, and opportunities
• Help young people persist, overcome challenges, and plan for the next step
• Collaborate with Case Planners, Tutors, Specialists, and foster/birth parents
• Connect to peer group supports and housing/independent living skills
• Assist with post-secondary planning and college readiness
• Support career development activities and apprenticeship paths
• Coordinate with housing specialists to arrange housing opportunities

Education

Bachelor's degree and two years experience with at-risk or system-involved young people
