CARE of Southeast Michigan seeks a Preventionist to support community-based efforts aimed at delaying youth substance use. You will coordinate prevention strategies with local schools and engage stakeholders to address environmental factors related to tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.

The role requires comfortable public speaking and group work, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and a valid driver’s license. CARE of Southeast Michigan is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, psychology, public health or related field.
• CPC-R or CPS certification or eligibility required/eligible.
• Valid motor vehicle operator license.

Responsabilidades

• Market prevention presentations to schools and communities served by CARE of SEM.
• Provide training to coalition members on evidence-based prevention models.
• Disseminate information at health fairs, school open houses and community events.
• Demonstrate understanding of management by objective (MBO) and program standards.
• Adjust hours including evenings and weekends to meet community needs.
• Apply current prevention trends to service delivery.
