Job summary

PsyPhyCare in Anaconda, MT is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) to provide on-site counseling within a federally supported residential youth program.

This contract position offers part-time availability up to 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no weekends and on-site location in Anaconda. Preference for candidates with a Montana LAC or equivalent certification and 1+ year of youth/young adult experience.

Qualifications

• Active Montana Substance Abuse Counseling certification such as Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) is required or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience providing substance abuse or behavioral health services to adolescents or young adults.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site substance abuse prevention, education, and counseling services to enrolled students.
• Develop and facilitate alcohol, drug, and tobacco prevention and education programming.
• Engage with students in residential and common areas and collaborate with program staff.
• Support student development, healthy coping skills, and relapse prevention.
• Provide crisis intervention and maintain timely clinical documentation.
