Job summary

Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center is seeking a part-time Program Support to assist with recreation programs and front desk operations. The role includes supervising part-time staff, teaching youth sports classes, and ensuring a welcoming, inclusive environment for all patrons.

We offer flexible hours up to 29 per week, with Friday–Monday scheduling, and benefits like facility access and class discounts. CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable on hire.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and two years of relevant experience in sports instruction or recreation education.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Valid Oregon Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and operate assigned recreation programs, including sports classes and weekend programs.
• Lead and supervise part-time sports staff, schedules, training, and coaching.
• Teach youth sports classes for ages 2–15 (soccer, basketball, volleyball).
• Monitor program effectiveness, gather feedback, and adjust programs to improve patron experience.
• Lead or co-lead activities to ensure smooth transitions and inclusive experiences.
• Support front desk operations: registrations, check-ins, and inquiries.
• Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in the program environment.
