Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Denver is seeking an Entry-level Sports Manager to lead and grow youth and adult sports programs at Duncan YMCA in Arvada, CO. You will hire and coach staff, develop volunteers, and foster partnerships with schools and community partners to expand access to programs.

You will monitor enrollment and program outcomes, manage budgets and ensure safety standards while promoting inclusivity and a positive participant experience across all activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting youth or adult sports, recreation or related programs.
• Experience supervising, coaching or providing leadership to employees and/or volunteers.
• Ability to organize multiple programs, schedules and priorities while meeting deadlines and service expectations.
• Strong interpersonal, customer-service, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse communities and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned sports programs in alignment with YMCA standards.
• Ensure safe, welcoming and high-quality experiences for participants and families.
• Monitor enrollment, feedback and outcomes; implement improvements.
• Develop new programs in response to community needs and priorities.
• Coordinate schedules, facilities, equipment and operational resources.
