Job summary

Horry County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking staff to assist with athletic programming and youth activities for 4-15 year olds. The role supports coaches and volunteers, coordinates facility usage, and ensures a friendly, safe customer experience.

You will register participants, process payments, open/close the recreation facility, and help with event setup and cleanup. Strong teamwork and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of preparing and assisting with recreational programs.
• Demonstrated customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Desire to contribute to a team environment.
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn computer/software programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Athletic Coordinators with day-to-day athletic programming and events.
• Oversee rentals, programs, and facility activities; ensure opening/closing and safety compliance.
• Process registrations and payments using CivicRec software; handle transactions.
• Perform light custodial duties and maintain facility cleanliness and safety policies.
• Coordinate programs with county divisions and community organizations.
