Job summary

Horry County Government is seeking staff to assist with programming and athletics activities for children aged 4-15 years old in the countywide Recreation Department. The role includes helping with games, events, and programs, and serving as a friendly, responsive representative at the facility.

Under supervision, you will support Athletic Coordinators with adult and youth activities, build community relationships, and help ensure safe, efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Parks and Recreation or building operations is helpful.
• Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills are expected.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Athletic Coordinators with programs, activities, and events.
• Open, close, and secure the recreation facility each day and ensure safety.
• Register customers using CivicRec and process transactions.
• Coordinate with departments, agencies, and community groups to support activities.
• Provide light custodial duties and maintain facility cleanliness.
• Prepare reports and assist with clerical tasks as needed.
