Job summary

Horry County Parks & Recreation is seeking a grounds maintenance worker to help keep parks, athletic fields, boat landings, planted areas, and facilities clean and well maintained. You will use a range of tools and equipment to perform mowing, trimming, and seasonal tasks, with attention to safety and efficiency.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid South Carolina/North Carolina driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds keeping and maintenance of parks, fields, trails, and facilities.
• Provide custodial services in Recreation buildings and restrooms, including cleaning and restocking.
• Operate mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and related power tools safely.
• Provide friendly, timely customer service and respond to park visitors' needs.
