Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time Youth Sports Monitor to help run youth sports practices, games and events in a safe, positive environment. You will model the YMCA core values and provide a quality experience for children and parents through effective supervision and clear communication.

Responsibilities include assisting with setup, game management, and assisting with parent interactions. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Flexible schedule to work nights and weekends.
• Must possess basic knowledge of sports.
• Must possess good oral, written and interpersonal communication.
• CPR, First Aid and AED within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Promote YMCA core values in all activities.
• Assist in delivering youth sports practices, games and events.
• Ensure safety of players and enforce YMCA rules.
• Greet parents and communicate with participants in a calm, respectful manner.
• Support program setup, clean-up and general housekeeping.
