Job summary

The Elizabeth Layton Center in Ottawa, KS is seeking a part-time Youth Specialist to join our Community Based Services (CBS) team.

The Youth Specialist will supervise and deliver supportive services to youth with severe emotional disturbance, developing skills and providing individual and group psychosocial activities in schools, homes, the center, and other community settings. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 40 hours of training in providing supportive services.
• Incumbent must pass a security check per Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one psychosocial rehabilitation services for youth.
• Develop and lead structured psychosocial group activities.
• Support personal care goals and overall treatment plans.
• Organize program activities and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete daily paperwork and reporting in a timely manner.
• Attend trainings and comply with ELC policies.
