Job summary

Elizabeth Layton Center in Paola, KS is seeking a part-time weekend Adult Specialist to join our Community Support Services team. Under supervision of a licensed clinician, you will provide information, education, and training to help adults with severe mental illness live more independently.

Responsibilities include developing structured activities, transporting participants, documenting care, and ensuring a safe environment at residential settings and in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 40 hours of training or ability to attend 40 hours on-site training.
• Background checks required as per Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and providing structured activities including attendant care and psychosocial group activities.
• Maintains a safe and productive environment during time spent with consumers.
• Provides transportation to and from activities or appointments (must maintain a good driving record).
• Provides medication observation in the community and in supported housing environments.
• Maintains appropriate records for reporting, evaluation, and clinical purposes.
• Meets deadlines for daily paperwork and reports.
• Provides quality documentation.
• Completes all trainings as assigned and follows ELC policies.
