Job summary

DeKalb Park District is seeking a Youth Soccer Instructor for part-time, non-exempt work in DeKalb, IL. The role involves leading instructional soccer programs for children aged 4-10, using age-appropriate drills to develop basic skills and teamwork, while maintaining safety and positive participation.

The position reports to the Athletic Coordinator and requires a high school diploma, being 18+, CPR/AED & First Aid certification (or obtained within two months), and Mandated Reporter

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Certified in Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid or obtain within two months.
• Certified Mandated Reporter or obtain certification within two months.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and leads youth soccer programming for children aged 4-10.
• Introduce fundamentals through age-appropriate drills and activities.
• Create a safe, encouraging environment and promote participation and skill development.
• Inspect fields and equipment and address hazards as needed.
• Maintain attendance, incident reports, and other required records.
