Job summary

Spectrum Youth and Family Services in Saint Albans Town, VT, is seeking a Shelter Coordinator to lead the St Albans Youth Shelter operations and supervise Youth Coaches. The role partners with the Director of Basic Needs Programs and other leaders to coordinate services, trainings, and outreach.

Responsibilities include managing scheduling, staff development, intake processes, program policy, and data records while ensuring trauma-informed, youth-centered care and collaboration with community

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Three years’ experience in a relevant social service position and/or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience delivering client-centered, trauma-informed services to adolescents and families.

Responsibilities

Supervise Youth Coaches and temporary staff; provide training and onboarding.
Coordinate day-to-day shelter operations and scheduling.
Oversee intake, referrals, waitlist, and bed assignments.
Develop program policies and maintain records and reports.
Collaborate with inter-agency teams and community partners; provide on-call leadership.
