Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Respite Youth Coach in St. Albans, VT, to support resident safety and daily living activities in a housing facility. The role covers shifts for part and full time Basic Needs Staff and requires active teamwork, communication, and adherence to program rules.

Responsibilities include supervising residents, maintaining records, supporting move‑in/move‑out procedures, and collaborating with staff. Training starts immediately on an as-needed basis; a shift differential may apply.

Qualifications

• High school degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience working with at-risk adolescents.
• Knowledge of adolescent development and related issues.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage residents in program expectations.
• Ensure safety of residents on premises and in the community.
• Uphold and maintain program rules and regulations.
• Perform facility maintenance to uphold a professional atmosphere.
• Assist residents in daily routines and achieving goals in their service plans.
• Support skill building in life skills areas.
• Adhere to resident medication plans.
• Support residents and/or case managers with move-in/move-out procedures.
• Complete accurate records, logs, and daily entries.
• Communicate shift status and important updates with staff.
• Coordinate coverage requests and communicate status.
