Job summary

Urban Peak is seeking a Young Adult Shelter Program Manager in Denver to oversee the 24/7 shelter for ages 18–24, including staffing, HMIS/Salesforce data quality, and program development. You will supervise Life Skill Managers, volunteers, and relief staff, ensuring trauma-informed care and youth safety.

The role requires advanced data accuracy, adherence to health regulations, and collaboration with multiple departments to support program goals and youth wellbeing in a dynamic shelter

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in social work, psychology, or child development with at least 2 years of treatment-oriented or case management experience; OR a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, human services, or related field with at least 3 years of youth experience; OR 5 years of FT experience with homeless/runaway youth.
• Experience supervising staff and managing a residential or shelter program is preferred.
• Strong data collection and accurate client file maintenance, including Salesforce use.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shelter milieu during floor, holiday, and on-call shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.
• Provide trauma-informed services to youth to ensure physical and emotional safety.
• Develop programs to build healthy relationships and coordinate meals with kitchen staff.
• Guide youth in daily chores and environmental cleanliness; lead intakes, tours, and bed assignments.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
