Job summary

ODC, Inc. is seeking a Youth Services Mentor in Marshfield, WI, to support individuals with disabilities through daily living skills, community involvement, and inclusive activities. This role emphasizes communication, documentation, and safe transport with a reliable vehicle.

You will teach daily living and social skills, assist with personal care as needed, and collaborate with families and supervisors to plan meaningful community-based opportunities. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year work experience with individuals and/or children with disabilities required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge in the modifications, adaptation, and use of specialized equipment
• General knowledge of computer uses and programs required

Responsibilities

• Teach others including Daily Living Skills, social skills, and community involvement.
• Assist and support children and youth with disabilities in becoming actively involved in their communities, develop friendships, and independent use of community resources.
• Provide opportunities for inclusion through planned activities, social interactions, exposure, advocacy, training, and education as identified in the assessment and planning process.
• Provide assistance with personal care tasks, as needed (i.e., mobility, eating, bathroom, etc.)
• Document all individual services daily in the required time limit and format
• Maintain open, respectful, and clear communication with participant, families, and supervisor
• Meet all necessary training requirements
• Transport and accompany individuals to community activities in company or personal vehicles
• Must pass WI caregiver background check
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work flexible/non-standard schedule (including some evenings and weekends)
• Use of a company email address for MFA authentication to ensure cyber security
• Reliable vehicle (unless exempt)
