Job summary

State of Missouri's Division of Youth Services seeks a Youth Services Worker to provide treatment services and ensure safety for youth in day treatment and residential programs. The role emphasizes empathetic, professional interaction, clear communication, and collaboration with staff to deliver group and individual activities.

You will supervise youth, assist with treatment plans, and maintain records while handling medication administration and emergency responses as required.

Qualifications

• Empathy and nonjudgmental attitude required.
• Clear, honest, and open communication with youth and staff.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a therapeutic setting.
• Willingness to participate in group facilitation and treatment activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Awareness Supervision to youth and oversee conduct, care, and therapy.
• Monitor youth activity and movement in residential/day treatment settings.
• Maintain security, including intervention or physical restraints during emergencies.
• Supervise youth during activities and inspect for health and safety hazards.
• Assist youth with personal issues and refer to group sessions as needed.
• Implement group and individual treatment plans and maintain records.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain youth records; dispense medications as required.
• Transport and escort youth in various situations and attend shifts and mandatory meetings.
• Contribute to educational programs as needed; perform other tasks as assigned.
