Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Youth Services Worker to provide treatment services and ensure safety for youth in day treatment and residential programs. You will facilitate therapy activities, monitor behavior, and maintain professional boundaries in a supportive setting.

The role includes awareness supervision, medication dispensing, and coordinating with staff to implement treatment plans. Evening/night shifts and mandatory meetings are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• 60+ earned credit hours from an accredited college with six credits in Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work.
• OR 2–4 years of relevant experience as an alternative pathway.
• Ability to transport youth and travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide Awareness Supervision to youth and monitor their conduct, care, and therapy.
• Maintain security and assist in physical restraints during emergencies.
• Supervise youth in activities and inspect for health and safety hazards.
• Assist youth with personal issues and refer to group sessions.
• Implement group and individual treatment plans and prepare progress reports.
• Dispense medications to youth and respond to medical emergencies (CPR).
• Transport and escort youth in everyday and emergency situations.
• Attend shifts as assigned and participate in mandatory meetings.
