Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Youth Services Worker to provide treatment services and ensure safety for youth in care. You will facilitate group activities, supervision, and treatment programming within day treatment and residential settings.

You will supervise, assist with personal issues, document progress, dispense meds as needed, and transport youth. Evening/night shifts may apply; driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 60+ college credits with 6 hours in counseling/justice/education/psychology/sociology/social work.
• OR 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide Awareness Supervision to youth and oversee conduct and care.
• Monitor activity and movement in residential/day treatment settings.
• Maintain security, assist with restraints during emergencies.
• Supervise youth during work, recreation, and health checks.
• Assist youth with personal issues and refer to group sessions.
• Implement treatment plans and track progress.
• Maintain professional boundaries and communicate respectfully.
• Prepare client progress reports and maintain records.
• Dispense medications as needed and respond to emergencies.
• Transport and escort youth in daily and emergency situations.
• Work on shifts including evenings/nights and attend meetings.
• May assist in educational program.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
