Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Youth Services Worker to provide treatment services and ensure safety for youth in day treatment and residential settings. You will facilitate activities, monitor youth, and assist in medical and educational programs, reporting on progress and maintaining records.

The role requires empathy, nonjudgmental communication, professional conduct, and the ability to transport and escort youth when necessary.

Qualifications

Empathetic and respectful approach to youth.
Clear, honest, open communication with youth and staff.
Ability to learn crisis intervention/de-escalation techniques and apply them when needed.

Responsibilities

Provide Awareness Supervision to youth and oversee personal conduct, care, and therapy.
Monitor activity, behavior, and movement; accompany youth off grounds as needed.
Maintain security and participate in physical restraints during emergencies.
Supervise residents during activities and inspect health and safety hazards.
Assist youth with personal issues and refer to group sessions as appropriate.
Implement group and individual treatment plans.
Prepare reports on client progress and maintain records.
Dispense medications to youth and respond to medical emergencies.
