Job summary

Spectrum’s Burlington Drop-In Center seeks a Youth Coach to empower young adults and connect them with food, shelter, stability, and healing from trauma.

This full-time, on-site role runs Sat-Tue 9:00 am–6:00 pm and Wed 2:00–6:00 pm. Pay is $21.63/hr with a $2.00 weekend differential, plus a comprehensive benefits package and a 403(b) plan.

You will engage Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) ages 14–25 and help them achieve goals while participating in supervision and training.

Qualifications

• Youth coaches support Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) ages 14-25.

Responsibilities

• Help TAY ages 14-25 gain access to food, shelter and stability.
• Assist youth in healing from trauma and setting goals.
• Engage with the Drop-In community and provide guidance and support.

All Spectrum staff, including Youth Coaches, are expected to participate in regular and ongoing supervision and training to best serve the youth we work with

The hours are Saturday – Tuesday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, and Wednesday 2:00 – 6:00 pm for thisfull time nonexempt position, which pays $21.63 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential for weekend hours. In this role, you are an important part of the Drop-In community! Youth Coaches are some of the first people to help young adults facing hardship in our community. Youth Coaches help Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) ages 14-25 gain access to food, shelter, stability, take steps to heal from trauma, accomplish their goals and build meaningful community.
