Job summary

Northwest Youth Services in Bellingham, WA, seeks a Care Coordinator for its Youth Residential program. The role supports youth ages 13–17 in a home-like setting, teaching daily living skills and independence while ensuring safety and wellness.

Under the Program Manager, you provide day-to-day care, guidance, and connection to social and clinical supports, working with a collaborative team to foster belonging and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of direct support to youth or vulnerable populations.
• Associate degree or progress toward bachelor’s in social work, human services, psychology, sociology, or related field.
• Ability to work residential shift-based schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with youth and use healing-centered engagement.
• Support independent living skills and daily routines, including personal care and household tasks.
• Prepare and cook meals for residents; model safe food handling.
• Provide supervision and line-of-sight monitoring; maintain boundaries and safety checks.
• Document progress notes and incident reports promptly and accurately.
