Job summary

Brightli in Springfield, MO is seeking a Shift Lead to guide Behavioral Health Technicians within a residential treatment setting. You will help create a safe, therapeutic environment and support clients on their treatment journey.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive client outcomes and adherence to program standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of responsible employment history.
• Experience in Human Services preferred.
• For St. Louis County programs: Bachelor's degree or MAADC I/II credential required.
• Exceptions may be approved by the Executive Team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Behavioral Health Technicians during assigned shifts.
• Foster a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients.
• Monitor daily client activities and communicate observations to the treatment team.
• Assist with staff training, orientation, and ongoing development of Behavioral Health Technicians.
• Facilitate educational, recreational, and therapeutic groups as assigned.
• Coordinate staffing coverage and assist with scheduling needs.
• Prepare and organize educational materials and program resources.
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation with program leadership.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports and provide ongoing feedback.
• Perform direct care duties to support clients’ treatment goals.
