Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Residential Advisor to support youth in a dormitory setting at the Atterbury Job Corps Center in Edinburgh, IN. The role focuses on residential services, academic and career training, and guiding students toward success.

The position requires a High School Diploma and at least one year of Job Corps or related program experience, with a preference for an in-state driver's license. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience.
• A valid in-state Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of residential advisors during assigned shift.
• Oversee dormitory conditions, evaluate situations, and make decisions or recommendations.
• Assist in training and evaluation of residential living staff.
• Perform administrative duties involving student passes, leaves, evaluations, progress reports, emergencies, and terminations for assigned shift.
• Ensure safety and proper student behavior in the dormitories.
• Communicate with families by mail and phone to resolve problems and assure student well‑being.
• Coordinate dormitory activities including entertainment, unit competitions, and unit courts.
• Inspect dormitory areas, recommend maintenance work, direct dorm patrol and daily cleanup.
• Requisition supplies for dorm living and student safety.
• Arrange student visits to counselors; review related problems.
• Participate in and conduct orientation activities and social skills training.
• Maintain required student records and update the center information system regularly.
• Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff, and other center customers.
• Work overtime as directed and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
