Job summary

McBride Quality Care Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable Assistant Home Manager to support the daily operations of a residential program serving youth in Lansing, MI.

This hands-on role provides direct supervision and leadership to Youth Development Workers, working closely with the Program Director to ensure safe, compassionate care. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, supervisory experience, and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college or a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with youth in residential settings preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Must complete required agency training.
• First year: 50 hours of training; 25 hours annually thereafter.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and oversee Youth Development Workers.
• Implement resident treatment plans.
• Complete admissions and discharges.
• Ensure medications are administered per policy.
• Complete incident reports and shift notes.
• Attend staff trainings and meetings.
• Prepare and serve meals as needed.
• Maintain safe, structured environment.
• Provide program oversight in Director's absence.
