Job summary

Ozark Center is seeking a Residential Psych Tech (RPT) to join the cottage-based treatment team. This staff role focuses on day-to-day care, supervision, and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents with behavioral health needs. High school diploma required; experience with behavior modification and youth work preferred.

Shift work and overtime are involved. The position emphasizes trauma-informed care within a not-for-profit system, with collaboration across the treatment team

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Familiar with behavioral management techniques and general behavior modification principles.
• Ability to work with youth and follow behavioral principles in residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Charts all pertinent observations on residents.
• Subject to mandatory overtime and shift changes.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Supervise and assist residents in wake-up, meals, recreation, counseling, education/vocation needs, daily routine and hygiene.
• Work as a team member with other staff to implement program plans.
• Provide direct behavior observations and reinforcement as prescribed by the cottage team.
• Participate in Team Meetings and shift information exchanges; contribute to evaluation and treatment progress.
