Job summary

The City of Fairfield is seeking PAL Recreation Specialists to support Teen Center programs and help teens grow, learn, and have fun. Training is provided and the position is part-time, year-round, non-benefited, and limited to 1,000 hours per fiscal year.

Candidates must be available for varied schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Work may occur at activity sites, community centers, or outdoors in various weather; travel to locations may be required.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License may be required.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team and nurture the development of staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor program and site rules, policies and regulations.
• Provide courteous and professional service to all program participants, facility users, City personnel and the public.
• Monitor behavior of program participants.
• Set up and clean-up of facility and equipment; may be charged with opening and closing duties.
• Assist with office tasks such as retrieving and distributing mail and delivering items to program sites.
