Job summary

Aleut Federal is seeking a Recreation Assistant for Job Corps to direct trainees in leisure-time recreation and leadership programs at a Chicago center. You will work under the Recreation, Fitness, and Health Manager and support a range of seasonal activities and intramural programs while ensuring a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications include an Associate degree or equivalent youth experience, a valid driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid training.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 1 year of related youth experience.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• CDL with passenger transport endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and implement recreation/non-vocational programs and activities.
• Develop and operate weekly contests and tournaments.
• Escort staff on center-sponsored trips and events.
• Assist with water safety programming and CIS.
• Coach intramural/varsity teams and support athletic activities.
• Maintain a safe, harassment-free environment and model employability skills.
