Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking MY Denver Youth Instructors to plan and implement organized recreation activities for youth across the MY Denver network. Positions are on-call, part-time, and hourly, with core hours typical Mon-Fri 2:00 pm–7:00 pm and summer shifts earlier.

Work locations are on-site at multiple Denver recreation centers. Ideal candidates have experience with youth programming, Microsoft Office proficiency, and a passion for community outreach.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, HiSET or TASC.
• One year of experience assisting in organized recreation activities.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities in five core categories for youth 8–18.
• Respond to emails and manage monthly activity calendars.
• Shop for supplies within a monthly budget.
• Build connections with youth, parents, and staff.
• Attend meetings up to three times monthly; assist with seasonal events.
