Job summary

CNS Healthcare is seeking a Transitional Youth Certified Peer Recovery Coach to join our Substance Use Disorder team in Michigan. The role focuses on peer-delivered services for youth 16–26 with SUDs, utilizing lived experience to promote recovery, education, employment attainment, and independent living skills.

Responsibilities cover engagement, relapse prevention planning, harm-reduction approaches, and family engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC) certification required or ability to obtain.
• Experience as a peer with recovery preferred; working with transitional-age youth (16–26) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a recovery mentor to transitional-age youth (16–26) with SUD and co-occurring conditions.
• Assist youth in setting recovery goals related to education, employment, housing, and wellness.
• Provide stage-matched, recovery-oriented interventions tailored to youth development.
• Support relapse prevention planning and WRAP-based strategies.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery groups and skills-building activities.
• Assist youth in navigating education plans, housing resources, and community supports.
