Job summary

The Institute for Health and Recovery (IHR) in Worcester, MA is seeking a Youth Support Mentor to provide brief intervention and counseling using iDECIDE and Project Amp curricula. Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, family therapy, substance abuse or related human service field.
• Lived recovery experience essential.
• Previous experience with transition-age youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide iDECIDE and Project Amp curriculum to youth after training.
• Engage in outreach to promote prevention, intervention, and treatment services for youth.
• Collaborate with youth, families, and community partners to reduce barriers to program participation.
• Build rapport with enrolled youth and families/caregivers.
• Review assessments of needs, values, and strengths in partnership with youth and family.
• Identify and build relationships with partner agencies and community resources.
• Collaborate with local agencies to connect youth with pro-social supports.
• Attend team and agency meetings and maintain required documentation.
