Job summary

NFI Massachusetts Inc. seeks a Peer Mentor for the Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP) in Westborough, MA. Use your recovery experience to guide youth toward hope and real change, serving as a role model and trusted ally.

You will build relationships, participate on treatment teams, lead groups, advocate for youth, and collaborate with staff. Flexible hours include afternoons/evenings/weekends; valid license required.

Qualifications

• Must have received treatment services in a long-term residential setting as a youth.
• Stable in recovery and able to relate to youth with similar experiences.
• High energy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, trusting relationships with youth, supporting them through challenges and recovery goals.
• Engage in one-on-one conversations and offer assistance during tough times.
• Serve as a role model, sharing your personal recovery journey to inspire hope.
• Participate in treatment teams, collaborating with staff and external agencies.
• Lead and facilitate treatment groups, supporting the youth’s personal growth.
• Act as a liaison between staff and youth to enhance mutual understanding.
• Advocate for youth, ensuring their voice is heard and respected within the program and community.
