Job summary

Institute for Health and Recovery, Inc. is seeking a Youth Support Mentor in Worcester, MA. The role provides brief intervention and counseling to at-risk youth using the iDECIDE drug education curriculum and Project Amp prevention program.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of long-term recovery from substance use, mental health conditions, or navigating related systems.
• Good organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to build rapport with youth and families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide iDECIDE and Project Amp curriculum to youth after training.
• Outreach to raise awareness of prevention, intervention, and treatment resources.
• Collaborate with youth, families, and community partners to reduce barriers to participation.
• Maintain accurate reports and records, including electronic health records.
• Work with the Program Manager and team to coordinate services and referrals.
