Job summary

CVS Health in Ohio is hiring a Youth Peer Support Specialist who uses lived experience with mental illness to mentor youth aged 16–22. You will work alongside clinical staff, provide recovery-focused coaching, and help youths set and reach short- and long-term goals across community and care settings.

The role requires up to 50% travel within Ohio, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a high school diploma or GED. Training in peer support is required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Travel up to 50% of the time.
• Must be located in Ohio and willing to travel.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Experience using MS Office Suite (Word and Excel).
• Completion of Youth and Adult Certified Peer Support Training Program within 90 days from start date.
• Must be 18+ with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use issues.

Responsibilities

• Share personal journey to inspire youth and young adults.
• Assist youth in identifying community resources and natural supports.
• Collaborate with clinical services to address member needs using wrap-around methods.
• Support young adults and caregivers in understanding available services.
• Assist in identifying informal supports for the member.
• Engage in weekly supervision and data collection activities.
• Document time, mileage, and expenses accurately and on time.
• Conduct at least 50% of activities in a community-based setting.
• Present on peer support topics when required.
