Qualifications

High school diploma required; 18+ years old.
Six credits in early childhood education (ECE) or early childhood development (ECD) with six months of teaching experience preferred.
Three credits in ECE/ECD with one year of teaching experience also acceptable.
National credential such as CCP or CDA with one year teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers and program staff to provide developmentally appropriate activities.
Monitor and evaluate student progress and maintain records.
Communicate with students, families, staff and community; ensure safety and order in classroom.
Follow ASYMCA policies and licensing requirements; support curriculum and instruction.
