Job summary

Child & Family Service is seeking a Program Specialist I to oversee after-school activities, plan sessions, and coordinate field trips while ensuring safety guidelines. You will lead engaging activities, manage transportation, and support youth through informal counseling and skill-building.

Responsibilities include screenings and assessments to develop individualized service plans, collaborating with families, teachers, and community resources, and conducting island-wide outreach to form

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field; substitution allowed with 4 years' experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in a related role.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run after-school sessions, plan activities and field trips.
• Maintain safety and crisis intervention guidelines.
• Plan family engagement and transportation of youth.
• Provide informal counseling and individual/group skill-building.
• Conduct screenings and assess baseline skills to create service plans.
• Coordinate with community resources for cultural activities.
• Outreach island-wide to identify partnerships and participants.
• Work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
