Job summary

SGA Youth & Family Services is seeking an After School Program Specialist to help deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate OST programming across assigned school sites. The role collaborates with school staff, enrichment providers, families, and students to foster safety, inclusivity, and positive youth development.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily activities, supervising students, ensuring vendor support, tracking attendance, and supporting quality improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in education, Child Development, Human Services, Recreation, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience with elementary-aged youth preferred.
• Experience in after-school, summer camp, recreation, education, or youth development programs preferred.
• Experience supporting classroom management and group facilitation.
• Experience working with diverse communities and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily after-school programming across multiple sites.
• Coordinate daily schedules, transitions, and activity spaces.
• Assist contracted providers and ensure materials and spaces are ready.
• Monitor attendance, records, and required documentation.
• Support family engagement and school partnerships.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
