Job summary

The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South seeks a full-time Before & After Care Site Director for Bartlett, TN. You will plan and implement a School Age program following DHS and YMCA policies, supervise staff, and ensure safety and development of participants.

Working under the Regional/Area Coordinator, you will manage daily lesson plans, engage 15–20 children, maintain licensing compliance, and build strong relationships with school staff and families while delivering a high-quality youth program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in child development or related field.
• Employee must enroll in Tennessee TECA (TECTA) orientation within the first year of employment.
• Two years of college (30 hours in business/management or child/youth development) and two years in a group setting.
• Four-year degree and one year of full-time (paid or unpaid) experience in a group setting.

Responsibilities

• Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
• Oversee the operation of a small to medium before/after school site (20–99 students).
• Maintain state and local policies, adhere to licensing standards, and conduct licensing inspections.
• Implement a daily curriculum meeting YMCA guidelines and direct staff and children in activities.
