Job summary

Unified Vailsburg Services Organization (UVSO) is seeking a part-time Youth Program Recruitment Coordinator to support recruitment for childcare, preschool, afterschool, and summer camp programs in Newark. The role focuses on outreach, lead follow-up, and guiding families through enrollment in collaboration with Family Workers and program staff.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and community-focused, with strong communication and follow-up skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in Communications, Marketing, Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Family Services, or related field preferred.
• Experience in recruitment, community outreach, enrollment, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable initiating conversations with families and community partners.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective families for UVSO childcare, preschool, afterschool, and summer camp programs.
• Promote UVSO programs and enrollment opportunities in Newark.
• Develop and implement recruitment activities based on enrollment needs and openings.
• Conduct outreach via calls, community events, open houses, recruitment tables, and flyers.
• Provide prospective families with program information and direct to enrollment process.
• Maintain communication with prospective families through the recruitment process.
• Assist with seasonal recruitment campaigns for various programs.
• Work with Family Workers and staff to support enrollment goals.
• Track leads from inquiry to enrollment or closure.
