Family Connections, Inc. seeks a Youth Development Specialist to supervise recreational programs and coordinate field trips at The Zone | Orange Prep Academy, Orange, NJ. The role focuses on fostering social skills, advocacy for students, and collaboration with school staff.

The position requires a high school diploma with 3 years in youth services; a bachelor’s in human services is preferred. Expect a 35-hour work week with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma; 3 years as a youth service worker; Bachelor's in human services preferred.
• Experience working with urban adolescents.
• Knowledge of adolescent development and community resources.
• Ability to create a warm, non-threatening therapeutic atmosphere.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and coordinate recreational programming and field trips.
• Build rapport and foster social skill development with students.
• Facilitate prevention and psycho-educational groups.
• Ensure timely data input into the Management Information System.
