Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson is seeking a dedicated youth program staff member to plan, implement and supervise engaging activities across Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education. The role focuses on providing high-quality programming for members and fostering a safe, supportive environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, experience with children, and CPR/First Aid certifications (TB clearance).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children in a youth program setting preferred.
• Knowledge of youth development principles.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to guide, assist and model positive behavior.
• Ability to interpret procedures and standards and apply them.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior.
• Ability to work with the general public.
• Willingness to participate in CPR and First Aid certifications and TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Promote and stimulate program participation.
• Register new members and participate in Club orientation.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implement and administer programs, services and activities for members.
• Provide daily homework and tutoring assistance.
• Maintain attendance files and collect required documentation.
• Keep progress logs and report cards; track member progress.
• Prepare weekly and monthly activity schedules.
