Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson seeks a Youth Program Leader to plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities in Academics, Social Recreation and Physical Education. The YDP provides programming that keeps members active, builds life skills, and promotes success in school and life.

You will promote participation, register new members, maintain attendance records, and work with staff to recruit and engage families and schools. Safety and youth development are central to this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children and youth development helpful.
• CPR and First Aid certifications and TB clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and stimulate program participation.
• Register new members and participate in their Club orientation process.
• Enhance member recruitment and increase ADA.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Maintain and keep files of attendance.
• Plan and implement activities/events to engage parents/stakeholders.
• Assure that programs operate at optimum capacity and meet member’s needs.
• Monitor and evaluate programs for safety and quality.
